		<description>You could try something like:

!isset($username[0])

or

empty($username)

and another useful function when building input systems is to use the trim function which will let you remove blank characters at the start and end of a string variable. Like so:

print trim(&#039;   jd ssd   &#039;); // will output &quot;jd ssd&quot;

Hope this helps :)</description>

		<description>Thanks a lot.

I have improve performance of my CakePHP Intranet, instead of loading from MySQL DB all the 8000 cities, my user select only one hundred zones runtime, and then, by the handler request, software loads only the interesting cities.
It was very important because all my system work under a SaaS logic.
A good service.

		<description>Uh, dood!

The UIWebView has scrolling baked right in. No need to make it a subview of a UIScrollView and then do the viewport manipulation. None at all. I repeat, UIWebView has scrolling goodness baked in. Just use the UIWebView solo and check it out.

		<description>Hi friends,
  Finally I have achieved my aim that Get indexed by Google By Less than One(1) Minutes.
So now really Google is Always indexing my site just within 1 mins.
Also I have changed my blog into &#039;Do Follow Blog&#039; which brings the Google spider to all pages where I&#039;m linking.
So if you want your site in Google in Less than 2 minutes then add Comments on my blog.
Really its working, If you want proof then See:

		<description>You may have a point with &quot;each&quot;, but I&#039;m not sure that I would call Prototypes &quot;each&quot; a &quot;struggle&quot;. Also, your Ajax examples aren&#039;t exactly fair to Prototype. I know it&#039;s a quibble, but why use &#039;some/url&#039; for Prototype while a short variable for jQuery: it hurts your case.
Also, the example you do use aren&#039;t exactly equivalent. Sure you&#039;ve got a simpler version in jQuery typed out, but what if you want a &quot;post&quot; instead of &quot;get&quot;? You&#039;ve included all kinds of options and fine grained controls (and some stuffing as well) in the Prototype version that you don&#039;t have in the jQuery one:
 var response = transport.responseText &#124;&#124; &quot;no response text&quot;;
--- where is your equivalent in jQuery? and what if I wanted JSON or XML, or what if I wanted some other trigger than &quot;onSuccess&quot;.

In Prototype you could write a load script that would take all the options out of a regular Ajax.Request too, and only takes and url and an id as an argument, but that&#039;s up to you.

I like your argument for jQuery&#039;s iteration format, but you still didn&#039;t give prototype a fair shake on the comparison. How&#039;s this:

$$(’#draggables img’).each(function (item){ new Draggable( item,{ revert: true, ghosting: true }});

not so bad, and I think that more options are better. jQuery makes things too simple sometimes.</description>
		<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><code>You may have a point with &#8220;each&#8221;, but I&#8217;m not sure that I would call Prototypes &#8220;each&#8221; a &#8220;struggle&#8221;. Also, your Ajax examples aren&#8217;t exactly fair to Prototype. I know it&#8217;s a quibble, but why use &#8217;some/url&#8217; for Prototype while a short variable for jQuery: it hurts your case.<br />Also, the example you do use aren&#8217;t exactly equivalent. Sure you&#8217;ve got a simpler version in jQuery typed out, but what if you want a &#8220;post&#8221; instead of &#8220;get&#8221;? You&#8217;ve included all kinds of options and fine grained controls (and some stuffing as well) in the Prototype version that you don&#8217;t have in the jQuery one:<br /> var response = transport.responseText || &#8220;no response text&#8221;;<br />&#8212; where is your equivalent in jQuery? and what if I wanted JSON or XML, or what if I wanted some other trigger than &#8220;onSuccess&#8221;.</p><p>In Prototype you could write a load script that would take all the options out of a regular Ajax.Request too, and only takes and url and an id as an argument, but that&#8217;s up to you.</p><p>I like your argument for jQuery&#8217;s iteration format, but you still didn&#8217;t give prototype a fair shake on the comparison. <description>Thanks very much for the clear article. I have implemented this successfully. Would you do me a favor please? Would you advise me on some sample code to display the user name after a successful login?

This is what I&#039;ve tried in my users_controller.php file:

	function login() {
		$this-&gt;Session-&gt;setFlash(&#039;Please enter your Username and Password.&#039;);
		if ($this-&gt;Auth-&gt;user()) {
			$this-&gt;Session-&gt;setFlash(&#039;You are now logged in.&#039;);
		}
	}

I get the message &quot;Please enter...&quot; when the login.ctp file is rendered, but I do not get the message on the way out. What am I doing wrong? Plus, I would like the userid in the success message.

Thanks in advance!</description>

		<description>Nice Post! Also Placing that Title at the top of Your Fold inside Header tags may help to slightly Improve your SE Rankings and will increase keyword density like what a SE look for on Your Web Page.
Adding Geography targeted Meta tag will also help You on getting #1 Rank for your Keyword as it won&#039;t bring down your Position on on Common SEs but will give you #1 Rank on the Particular Country&#039;s SE site where you Targeted through Your Meta Tag.
I&#039;ve developed an Advanced Meta Tag Generator at

http://www.sisgames.mobi/advanced-meta-tag-generator/

This may help you Generate Meta tags Easily.
Thanks</description>

		<description>To run the index.ctp view without javascript errors, I had to replace &#8243; with a &quot; (a double quote) and in line 56 above, I had to remove the quote inside html. So line 56 became $(this).html();

Do these changes look correct? It works in Firefox, but in IE7 I get the javascript error &#039;Expected identify, string, or number&quot; at line 61 above.

Most grateful for any help. Thanks for a terrific article!</description>

		<description>A little unfair comparison.

1. For Script.aculo.us, use this:
$$(&#039;#draggables img&#039;).each(
instead of
$A($(&#039;draggables&#039;).getElementsByTagName(&#039;img&#039;)).each(

2. The Ajax syntax is OK for me, jQuery&#039;s version being &quot;sweeter&quot; but not much more easy.

3. Right :)

4. True. But minification is not so important. gzip is. And when you use a CDN-hosted version, it doesn&#039;t matter anyway.</description>
